Varied but technical information security focused. From Cyber Essentials Plus auditing and vulnerability assessments to penetration testing, phishing, security training, live hacking demonstrations and operational security management. Thinking like the bad guys to pre-empt their next move is what I love about the job.
My proudest Waterstons moment is...
Helping Northumbria Police and the NERSOU unit train personnel and build processes to provide free vulnerability assessments to SME's across the North East. Seeing their community engagement approach, the calibre of volunteers/unit personnel and the initiative of everyone involved was inspiring.
My life away from work is...
Pretty hectic with a new hobby every week! Mainly I love to hike and travel where possible, I'm a huge classic movie nerd and I brew a damn good pilsner.
